We open the festival with a “fiesta” for the ages. Toronto-based global music music and dance ensemble Ventanas kicks off the party, led by powerhouse flamenco singer and dancer Tamar Ilana. Ventanas performs original and traditional material in over 20 languages, weaving in and out of fiery flamenco dance and music, Greek, Turkish and Sephardic love songs, upbeat Bulgarian dance tunes, and lyrical original melodies, leading audiences through windows into other lands, times and cultures. Ventanas is joined by special guest flamenco dancer and longtime local favourite, Angela Déiseach.
LADY BEE X CASA MADERA - 1 Hotel Toronto
Casa Madera presents a one-night-only dining experience with Lima’s Lady Bee (ranked #13 on The World’s 50 Best Bars) — their first visit to Toronto.
Lady Bee’s cocktails focus on seasonal, origin-driven ingredients inspired by Peru’s coast, highlands, and jungle. Their bartenders will serve a bold, ingredient-led cocktail menu.
Chef Daniele Pisanu of Casa Madera will offer a special Peruvian-inspired set menu designed to pair with the cocktails. Guests can choose a four-cocktail pairing or order cocktails à la carte.
Seating is limited due to the event’s intimate size and Lady Bee’s careful mixology.

It is beautiful, it is powerful, and I am thrilled to present a pure flamenco guitar concert for the final Tablao of the year. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time, and it feels perfect for the festive season. Sit back with your favourite drink and let the music take over. You will be swept away not only by the melodies and harmonies, but by the sheer technique and artistry of these musicians.
It is truly rare and absolutely special to have Benjamin Barrile, Nicolas Hernandez and Matt Sellick sharing the same stage. And of course, joining them is the king of rhythm himself, Ronsendo Chendy Leon Arocha.

Ana Lía is a must-see for fans of spicy Latin Jazz pop fusion. A Dominican-Canadian, her charming, vibrant performances deliver an unmistakable experience for every audience. The singular blend of Rhythmic Dominican and Latin songs, jazz, pop, flamenco, and even hip-hop shape the way she crafts music today. Her bright, rich voice makes her music enjoyable beyond language. At this year’s Markham Jazz Festival, Ana Lía will ignite the McKay Wine & Beer Garden stage with her energetic, flamenco-inspired performances.
